Velvet Subdeaconate Sticharion (with Buttoned Side Seams)

TAILORING FEATURES >>>

• a subdeaconate sticharion, which is hand-tailored in polyester velvet fabric in the color of your choice
• a fully-lined robe with buttoned side seams and with decorative bands at cuffs and bottom of the robe (inserts) tailored in the same fabric
• decorated with one medium-sized cross applique, which is machine-embroidered with golden-metallic/silvery-metallic threads and hand-decorated with beads
• trimmed with golden/silvery galloon and finished with golden/silvery accents (buttons, etc)

OPTIONAL FEATURES >>>

• decorative inserts (bands at cuffs and bottom of the robe) tailored in fabric of your choice (colors for solid-color satin and patterns for metallic-brocade fabrics are available upon request)

Because there are variety of local styles and customer preferences regarding the size of the subdeaconate sticharion, please specify your preferable dimensions using the finished vestments diagram.
(Note: You are welcome to measure your current subdeaconate sticharion that you are satisfied with. All finished clothing dimensions are optional and, if not provided, your sticharion will be completed in traditional style for the body measurements provided.)

To clean: dry-cleaning recommended; the embroidered applique must be removed prior to cleaning.

PRODUCT INCLUDES >>>

For services, the subdeacon is vested in a sticharion with an orar tied around his waist, up over his shoulders (forming a cross in back), and with the ends crossed over, and tucked under the section around the waist. This distinguishes them from acolytes in those jurisdictions where acolytes are ordained and blessed to wear the orar, as the latter do not wear the orar crossed in front but simply hanging straight down.
